When it comes to choosing the right care home, it's obviously important that you feel confident with your decision. Ailsa Craig offers the highest standards of care, comfort and support, with staff who take the time to get to know the residents and make sure that they get exactly the care they need. We offer the award-winning Bupa 'Personal Best' customer service programme to our staff to show our commitment to training and developing our carers and nurses.
Ailsa Craig comprises three separate houses with a total of 90 bedrooms – one for nursing care, one for nursing dementia care and a third for enhanced residential care.
We offer 24-hour personal support to those with a condition that requires frequent specialised, qualified nursing care.
Round the clock care in a safe, comfortable environment for up to six weeks. Perfect for carers who are ill, on holiday or just need a break.
Care for those recovering from surgery or illness, through a combination of rest appropriate exercise and balanced diet.
We provide respectful pro-active care for residents and relatives in their last days of life. We ensure that their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs are considered and met.
Expert personal care 24-hours a day in comfortable, homely accommodation with daily activities to stimulate body and mind.
24-hour care and assistance provided for those living with dementia, with a lifestyle profile created to make them feel safe and comfortable.
We're always striving to improve our treatments and services so feedback from residents and relatives is very important to us. The results of this help us provide the best care possible.
We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate. This helps us to identify how we can deliver person-centred care for the people living in Bupa homes.
With a range of activities available, our dedicated and experienced activity co-ordinator provides a packed schedule of events for all of our residents.
Our residents have the freedom to spend their days exactly how they wish at Aisla Craig. We make sure they have plenty of activity options to choose from, whether that's taking a stroll around the gardens, catching up on their favourite TV shows or a good book or taking part in one of the many pursuits organised by our in-house activity co-ordinator.
Those feeling energetic can help out with some gentle gardening, while those looking for something a bit more sedate can take part in arts and crafts sessions or one of our many games.
We also organise visits to local places of interest, such as museums, the safari park or shopping in Glasgow's city centre.
Mealtimes are another great way to socialise with other residents in our comfortable dining room that overlooks the garden. We offer a wide range of tasty and nutritious dishes on our daily menu – and all our chef managers meet twice a year to discuss ideas and menu plans.
We have an open door policy, so you are welcome to pop in to the home at any time. However, we recommend you avoid visiting at main meal times as these can be very busy. If you would like to speak to the home manager when you visit, you can make an appointment by calling us first.
Depending on its size, new residents are welcome to bring furniture to their new room. Many of our residents bring a favourite armchair or pictures and other small belongings to personalise their room.
This depends on availability of rooms in the home, understanding the cost of care and the person moving in receiving a care assessment.Ask us a question
We want our residents to be comfortable in their rooms so we go to great lengths to make sure that they enjoy and personalise their rooms. All rooms are attractively decorated and each one comes with a television aerial point, telephone socket, 24-hour call system and thermostatically controlled radiators. They also have ensuite bathroom facilities and lovely views across the gardens.
Call now to book a visit and meet our care home manager, who can answer any questions you may have.
There’s a lot to figure out when it comes to funding. Pop in for a visit and we will be happy to talk it over.
